When your company is short-staffed, here are 13 ways to stay productive.

Many companies are dealing with understaffed teams, demanding clients, and disgruntled workers due to the “Great Resignation.” Overwork and low morale may naturally impair a team’s productivity.

You’ll need to be deliberate about your work if you want to maintain productivity high even if you have a labor shortfall. 13 Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) members weighed in on the following question to help you get started:

“What’s one approach you have for preserving productivity while working with a short staff?” “What makes it so good?”

Consider the following suggestions to boost your team’s productivity and morale.



1. Provide bonuses and incentives.

“It’s always good to provide incentives and bonuses to encourage people to work harder.” Who doesn’t want more money in their pocket? Throughout the last decade, this strategy has shown to be effective in all of my enterprises. Including a competitive challenge also seems to be beneficial. 2. Prioritize your goals.

3. Schedule meetings regularly

4. Time Management

5. Positive reinforcement should be emphasized.

6. Give star freelancers more roles

“There are instances when you have more work than you can handle yet cannot hire extra people.” Extending certain responsibilities to star freelancers is one method to experience effective operations with your limited employees. You want a team of people who can jump into a job whenever you need them without recruiting them on a long-term basis. 7. Put your faith in us and provide your help.

“Be aware that your resources are limited. Ascertain that everyone on your team is on the same page. 8. Work should be enjoyable.

“When time is short, I’ve discovered that making work interesting is the greatest way to keep everyone busy.” We have a family channel on Slack, so we can easily communicate during lunch breaks or in between jobs, even if we are short-staffed for the day. 9. Provide lunch for your workers.
