A record 4.5 million American employees departed their employment in November, part of a movement dubbed as the Great Resignation.

Many people who have lost their jobs are resorting to freelancing. Some chose self-employed gig work to supplement their earnings, while others do so because it allows them to work flexibly and follow their hobbies while earning more money.

Employers must keep in mind the rising desire for flexible, freelance labour. Employers should always pay freelance contractors a fair salary, maintain a courteous and professional working relationship, and continue to provide helpful and constructive feedback if they hire gig workers.

Best Freelance Opportunities in 2023

Remote, which provides worldwide payroll, tax, HR, and compliance solutions to remote, distributed teams, examines the greatest freelancing employment available right now.

Remote identified the greatest employment for freelancers in the United States based on a review of 23 jobs in healthcare, finance, technology, marketing and advertising, and logistics.
